10 Worst WWE Moments Of 2014

6. The DQ Finish At Night Of Champions

WWE made three mistakes with regards to Brock Lesnar in 2014. The first you'll find later in this article. The last was their refusal to have him make at least the odd appearance between Night of Champions and this past Monday on Raw. Then there is Night of Champions itself. One of the most disappointing endings to a PPV in the last decade. What WWE did right with Lesnar in 2014 was make an impact. At Summerslam, they stepped up and took a gamble that was a superb choice. They risked making superman John Cena look incredibly weak. They attached a lightning bolt to the image and name of Brock Lesnar which made people take notice. Doing the rematch at Night of Champions in of itself wasn't a bad idea. Having John Cena respond with a much closer performance wasn't a bad idea. The truth of it was- however- that Lesnar still had to win. WWE made all the right choices with the rematch up until the end. The decision to position Cena as dominant once again only to keep the belt on Brock with a dusty finish was awful. It really killed a lot of the momentum they'd established with the Summerslam match. Maybe they didn't want to risk Cena looking too vulnerable... but they sacrificed the prestige they'd built into Lesnar to do it.
