These next two points have a common denominator and that is Daniel Bryan. Ironically, this point ended up culminating in the positive of Bryan winning the big one at WrestleMania 30. It was the conclusion of two months worth of fan rebellion ignited in whole when WWE made the grave mistake of booking Batista to win the 2014 Royal Rumble in Bryan's stead. It was simple. WWE didn't want Daniel Bryan headlining WrestleMania. The fans did. From the moment Daniel Bryan didn't enter the Royal Rumble, everyone knew it had gone wrong. The crowd hijacked the whole match. The commentators went quiet. The in-ring action stilled. People knew they'd got it wrong. In the weeks that followed, the backlash of the vocal IWC spread into the mainstream. Batista got roundly reviled. In the end, WWE's hand was forced into a course correction and 'Mania 30 ended up fine... but it was at the cost of the worst Royal Rumble match ending in recent memory.
Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
