https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMiW-B5ljo0 When your tag team partner is Shawn Michaels, and he suddenly leaves you (or rather throws you through a glass window) who would you get to replace him? If you answered "Al Snow" you must either be crazy, or be Marty Jannetty. Five years after The Rockers split up, Jannetty returned to the World Wrestling Federation and decided to try over again with a new friend. He chose Cassidy (Snow) whose gimmick was basically that he had the first and last name of two teen heartthrobs of the 70s (Leif Garrett and David Cassidy). Jannetty should have known that starting a "new" anything in wrestling is almost a surefire recipe for disaster. The New Rockers were no different. Unlike Michaels and Jannetty, these two had no chemistry together. They weren't a very exciting act, and just made people remember the good old days of the group. It was actually kind of sad. The Heart Break Kid moved on, and was one of the biggest stars in all of wrestling. Jannetty, on the other hand, was stuck in a tag team lamer than The Partridge Family.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
