10 Worst WWE Pairings Ever

2. Heidenreich And Animal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfDy4vl3BBw Heidenreich and Animal is one of the most baffling tag teams in wrestling history. The two were put together to reform the Legion of Doom. The company had recently released a DVD on the legendary duo of Hawk and Animal, and thought maybe bringing the group back was a good idea. Well, it was not. A huge part of that reason was because one half of the group, Hawk, was dead. He was also the better talker and more charismatic of the two. And last, but not least, Animal was now in his mid 40s. So, WWE was going to need to find him a new partner. It wasn't the first time that someone else was called upon to join the Legion, as Droz was briefly a member in the late 90s. It didn't work out so well the first time. But hey, if they were going to go through with this terrible idea, the best plan would be having Animal's partner be a young, athletic and charismatic individual who could mask his own shortcomings. Instead, they chose Heidenreich. Yes, Heidenreich, the man that was most well known for reciting terrible poetry and assaulting Michael Cole. He was possibly the worst choice on the entire roster. His wrestling skills were almost non-existent, and he didn't remotely seem as badass of a wrestler as Hawk. Just like almost every reboot of a tag team, the fans outright rejected the two. Even though they won the tag team titles, they weren't popular enough to justify it. Eventually, Heidenreich was released, and Animal was too a few months later. When thinking about the Road Warriors or The Legion of Doom, it's best to forget that this incarnation ever happened.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
