10 Worst WWE Pay-Per-View Names Ever

4. Taboo Tuesday

The idea of Taboo Tuesday wasn't a terrible one. An exclusive RAW brand pay-per-view, it was initially scheduled to take place on a Tuesday (obviously) before everyone involved realised how bad an idea this was and moved it to the more traditional Sunday, becoming Cyber Sunday in the process.

Cyber Sunday isn't exactly a great name but it at least fits the concept - that the matches were to be voted on by the WWE Universe online. The 'cyber' element of it all is very clear: the embracing of modern technology as shown through interactive booking and overly-shiny metallic logos and fonts.

But Taboo Tuesday? A taboo is something that is prohibited or restricted, more often than not by social customs and historically designed by religious communities. Giving fans the power to put people into matches was pretty much the opposite of prohibition and restriction, meaning Taboo Tuesday amounted to alliteration - and little else.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
