10 Worst WWE Posters Of All Time

Poster taints.

Hell In A Cell Comparison

The leaky faucet that is WWE's marketing department has again been on the blink, its latest malfunction dripping out the poster for the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. All told, it's a bit of a nightmare - and not in the intended manner.

The composition of a demonic Roman Reigns and fallen angel Braun Strowman is either an oblique bit of banter aimed at CM Punk and Christopher Daniels' sudden increased relevance - the former having appeared in a virtually identical get-up in 2011 - or, more likely, hints at the promotion's chronic lack of originality. Either way, it's bad.

But it's far from the worst WWE's ad execs have mustered. Hell, it's not even in the bottom ten. At least both men are on the show, for a start. And neither of them have their sausages out. This, regrettably, hasn't always been the case.

Seems Hell in a Cell doesn't have a history of brill posters. Five years prior to this annum's peculiar* composition of familiars, WWE went ahead with this inoffensive but inexplicable one sheet. It's admittedly a very tasteful shot of R-Truth, and the sky blue accent is particularly easy on the eye, but there's one big problem: R-Truth wasn't actually on the show.

We can speculate the reason why WWE choose to place Big Ron behind the bars, but it's probably best if we don't.

*dreadful

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
