10 Worst WWE PPV Gimmick Matches

The first thought that comes to mind is that of Ray Traylor being hanged in some sort of dark ritual in the match's denouement. It was so horrifying that Michael Cole couldn't believe his eyes. Then he callously segued into a video package while a man was being lynched 15 feet away from him. Can't grieve forever, one supposes.

Even before the post-match silliness, Undertaker and Boss Man engaged in probably the worst Cell match in history, slow and uninteresting compared to Undertaker's previous wars with Shawn Michaels and Mankind. Not that Boss Man needed to go flying off of the cage in order to ratchet up the excitement, but some excitement would have been preferable. Otherwise, why dust off the Cell for a nothing match? You could've lynched a man without having to assemble a giant cage.

Wait, that still sounds awful...
