10 Worst WWE PPV Matches Of 2019 (So Far)
10. The "50 Man" Battle Royal (Super ShowDown)
It was the first ever 50-man Battle Royal in WWE history. Except it wasn't.
Hilariously, 51 participants squeezed into the ring at Super ShowDown, and they were all vying to win a prestigious match that'd be immediately forgotten about as soon as WWE returned to the States. In the oppressive Saudi Arabian heat, those 51 workers toiled as they traded endless punches and kicks.
That's the problem with Battle Royals. They don't exactly feed match quality, and it was a real challenge for anybody to do anything eye-catching when the ring was so busy. What resulted was a hodgepodge mix of rapid eliminations and commentary pretence that this all meant something.
The ending gave Saudi fans a nice hometown hero pop, admittedly, but Mansoor has suffered the same fate Braun Strowman's Greatest Royal Rumble win did in 2018. In other words, he, just like it, has been totally consigned to history.
