With each ensuing Draft, it became more evident the divide in equity WWE held in Raw and SmackDown. SmackDown is where cold acts went, whereas Raw took in anyone hot from either other brand. That's why it was odd when the 2011 Draft started with SmackDown earning a pick: John Cena. Something about this seemed fishy, especially as a heavy hitter like Cena was swapping shows so early in the broadcast.

Indeed, a six-man tag closed out the night, with Cena competing on the SmackDown side. Raw won, and the random picker chose... John Cena. Cena became the only man to end up back on his original show via the random picker, a marvelous coincidence. It also underscored the little value WWE held in SmackDown at the time, as if to say, "You think we'd take Cena off of Raw and put him on that inconsequential show?" Puh-lease."
