10 Worst WWE Royal Rumble Winners Ever

3. Brock Lesnar (2022)

Vince McMahon worst

WWE had absolutely nothing left in 2022, and then, in the summer of that year, the resurgence happened.

It was remarkable.

Dave Meltzer doesn’t get everything right - no, the Rock didn’t face Triple H at WrestleMania last year based on a nine year-old confrontation lol - but he was absolutely correct in stating that losing Cody Rhodes was the single worst thing to happen to AEW.

And this is a company that had Matt Hardy on the books for four years.

Cody changed everything, even before Vince McMahon resigned in disgrace, because before he signed, WWE again went with Brock Lesnar for Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania title defence.

Brock Vs. Roman, again, Jesus Christ!

That pairing made Kofi Kingston Vs. Dolph Ziggler feel like a much-anticipated first-time-ever dream match.

The Rumble match itself was an abomination, what with Shane McMahon using it as a vehicle to get his dismal stuff in, and Lesnar winning was yet another “...of course” moment in WWE’s rich tradition of pissing everybody off.

Lesnar had lost to Bobby Lashley earlier that night, but entered the Rumble match because who else did you expect to win?
