10 Worst WWE Summerslam Matches Ever

10. Summerslam 1990 - Dusty Rhodes vs. Randy Savage

Only a few years before this event, this match would have been considered a dream match that no one would have ever thought would have happened. Dusty had only recently made his debut in the World Wrestling Federation after losing his booking job in Jim Crockett Promotions and coming to the land of Vince McMahon. Of course, Vince immediately decided to put the former main event superstar in polka dots and make him a midcard wrestler. Randy Savage had just gotten finished with his huge feud with Hulk Hogan, culminating with their Wrestlemania V main event. A slight gimmick change to the "Macho King" Randy Savage and the addition of Sensational Sherri as a manager gave Savage a solid upper card heel character. Rhodes had been involved in a feud with Ted Dibiase, pitting his common man character against DiBiase's millionaire jerk persona and sadly, this match was more of an angle than an actual wrestling contest. The match began as DiBiase came out and informed Rhodes that he had purchased Dusty's manager, Sapphire, and she was now property of the Million Dollar Man. I'll leave it to the reader to decide whether the WWF allowing DiBiase to "purchase" an African American woman is in good taste or not.
In any event, Rhodes tried to attack DiBiase and Savage jumped him and, only three minutes later, a Sherri distraction allowed Savage to hit Dusty with a loaded purse and get the pin.
