10 Worst WWE SummerSlam Posters
7. SummerSlam 2012
SummerSlam 2012 marked Brock Lesnar's first appearance at the summer spectacular in nine years, and in case you couldn't tell, WWE was really, really happy to have him back. Lesnar's first post-UFC bout was a wild loss to John Cena at Extreme Rules, but at SummerSlam, he stood to rebuild his reputation with a bout against WWE COO Triple H.
That match turned out to be a huge disappointment, almost as much as the poster for the show. An extreme close up of a roaring Lesnar would certainly be terrifying enough to work as the featured image for an event, but this time, someone decided that Lesnar ought to be soaking wet, as well. Granted, Lesnar is usually soaking wet thirty seconds into his matches, but he's not beet red here - the wetness is all from rain.
Apparently, the image was all in service of that tagline for that year's show, which was "The Perfect Storm." Given that the phrase usually refers to a mix of combustible elements, it would have made more sense to feature Lesnar and HHH on the poster, but instead, it was just wet Brock, all by himself, that made for the perfect storm.
