10 Worst WWE Tag Team Champions Ever

Michael McGillicutty will forever be known as one of the poorest names in WWE history. Taking Curt Hennig's kid and slapping that moniker on him should have resulted in a slap, not a run with the Tag Team Titles. Alas, that's what happened on the May 23, 2011 episode of Raw.

McGillicutty and his bogus tag partner David Otunga were part of The New Nexus, a group led by none other than CM Punk. That must have been the only reason they were considered for a shot at the titles in the first place. Even beating main event level talent like Kane and Big Show couldn't convince anybody the new champs were worthwhile, though.

93 days later, Otunga and the future Curtis Axel lost those titles to the more exciting combo of Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne. Air Boom had everything their predecessors lacked; Kingston and Bourne were over, shared chemistry, and managed to make the belts feel important again, at least temporarily.
