10 Worst WWE Title Reigns Ever

8. Bob Backlund's Second WWF Title Reign

- Won Title on November 23rd, 1994 - Dropped Title on November 26th, 1994 - Zero successful defenses Backlund's title reign lasted all of three days. Not only did Backlund's title reign last all of three days, but he lost the belt at a house show. Not only did he lose it at a house show, but the match took place in the middle of the card. Not only did the match take place in the middle of the card, it was over in eight seconds. That's just a terrible recipe altogether, and it was for a man that nobody really wanted to see win the title in the first place. At the time of his title victory, he was a 45-year-old man who still wrestled like he did in the 1970s. He was as technically sound as he ever was, but he was just so, so, so boring. Having Backlund defeat Bret Hart for the title, only to drop it to Diesel so soon thereafter, just screams Bret not wanting to lose to Diesel, especially considering he never did lose by pinfall to the man until their days in WCW. You know, when Kevin Nash could basically do whatever he wanted without any consequences or repercussions. Either way, this was a bad reign for Backlund, who may have just been the wrong guy at the wrong time during one of Bret's whine-a-thons.
