10 Worst WWE United States Champions Ever
4. Kalisto (2016)
Kalisto has never recovered from his association with the US Title.
Since holding the belt across two stints during the first half of 2016, the high-flying masked man (who was once touted as the 'new' Rey Mysterio) has been shipped off to the Cruiserweight division, suffered an aborted mini-push as a singles on Raw and formed the overlooked Lucha House Party.
Hell, even Rey Mysterio himself has returned to WWE and become the 'new' Rey Mysterio. That, whether anyone likes it or not, has cancelled any and all plans to shoot Kalisto up a notch, and his flirtation with solid mid card success feels like a lifetime ago. It's tough to wrap one's head around the fact he held the US Title for a combined 120 days.
Much like others on this list, he wasn't allowed to do much with that period. After regaining the belt from Alberto Del Rio at the 2016 Royal Rumble, Kalisto worked a run of pre-show matches then lost it to Rusev at Extreme Rules.
