10 Worst WWE United States Champions Ever
3. Jinder Mahal (2018)
For an example of how far Jinder Mahal's stock has fallen, one need only look at the 30 seconds he lasted in this year's Rumble. No offence intended to Johnny Gargano, but Mahal is a former WWE Champion, and he was made to look like a chump by the NXT man before being eliminated.
It'll take more than a few cries of "Shanti" to heal Jinder's wounded pride.
After working his balls off to get into supreme physical shape, WWE rewarded Mahal with some aforementioned World Title glory. Once that faded, he was thrust into the United States Title picture and bagged the belt at WrestleMania 34. You'll know from reading prior entries how well that worked out for him.
Jinder's reign lasted eight days before he made the jump to Raw as part of the 'Superstar Shakeup' and immediately lost to Jeff Hardy. That excuse to put the title back on SmackDown did nothing to make Mahal look like a force to be reckoned with on Monday nights.
