OK, so Nathan Jones could hardly be considered one of the "biggest names", but he was someone WWE had high hopes back in the early-2000s. Vince McMahon must have started foaming at the mouth when he clapped eyes on the musclebound beast he'd just signed.

Before officials decided Jones wasn't ready for in-ring work, he was even pencilled in to team with The Undertaker at WrestleMania XIX against both A-Train and Big Show. WWE went full pelt with advertising the match for weeks beforehand, and Michael Cole hyped up on SmackDown that Jones could be a huge deal for years to come.

Then, he was pulled from the match and only performed a brief run in at the end. Next big thing? Not quite.

This was a low point for 'Taker at 'Mania, and it confused fans that WWE had canned Nathan's previous heel gimmick in favour of trying to give him the babyface rub from a legend. What a disaster.
