10 Worst WWE WrestleMania Debuts Ever

4. Razor Ramon/Bob Backlund (WrestleMania IX)

A little over four months before WrestleMania IX, Razor Ramon had been working with top names like Randy Savage, Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect at the 1992 Survivor Series. Two months before 'Mania, he was jousting with Bret Hart for the WWF Title at the 1993 Royal Rumble. At Caesars Palace, Razor faced Bob Backlund.

Not quite the same, is it?

No offence to Bob, but he was a relic from a bygone era in the eyes of fans by the time 1993 rolled around. Compared to the dynamic Ramon, who exuded charisma (or even, machismo) and looked like a star in the making, Backlund's pasty-white skin and good-old-boy character felt remarkably tame.

In the end, both had a 'Mania debut to forget. Their match was stuck aimlessly on the card without any real meaning and would have been the shortest of the day had Hulk Hogan not toppled Yokozuna in a mere 22 seconds as the sun went down.
