10 Worst WWE WrestleMania Endings

9. WrestleMania XI

The decision to put an NFL star in the headline match of WrestleMania seems utterly incomprehensible to modern fans, but given how much mainstream buzz this generated for WWE at the time, it made at least a modicum of sense (we said a modicum).

That doesn't mean it was a spectacle worthy of gracing the Grandest Stage of Them All though. All things considered, Lawrence Taylor put in a serviceable performance, but - let's face it - he was never going to hit the minimum four-star mark you expected of 'Mania's go-home encounter even in 1995.

Considering that the bout that preceded this one was a very good WWE Championship clash between Diesel and Shawn Michaels (arguably one of the best outings of Kevin Nash's career), the schedulers were perhaps therefore left with one or two questions to answer.

The good news is that it's highly unlikely, in today's era, that Vince McMahon and co would ever entrust the task of closing out the biggest wrestling show of the calendar in a celebrity with no experience in the ring.... right?
