10 Worst WWE WrestleMania Opening Matches Ever

Both Chris Masters and Carlito were in the wrong spot at WrestleMania 22. After playing a featured role in the Elimination Chamber match at New Year's Revolution in January, they were consigned to jobbing for Kane and Big Show on the biggest show of the year.

Masters and Carlito had lasted until the very end inside the Chamber before finally succumbing to John Cena, so it was a terrible idea of WWE's to make them look like ill-equipped chumps who couldn't hang with the World Tag-Team Champions. Creative missed a chance to paint these young stars as hungry lions who used teamwork and heel tactics to convince fans they might upset the champs.

Y'know, like The Spirit Squad did the next night on Raw.

All the hard work Carlito and Masters had put in before 'Mania counted for nothing when the latter was beaten by a single Kane Chokeslam.
