Quick question: why did a TV-style tag match like Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan vs. The Godfather and D'Lo Brown open up WrestleMania 2000 when there were better choices on the same card?

The answer? Ice-T was in the house and (apparently) his rap entrance for the babyfaces was preferable to seeing Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle work their socks off in a multi-title Triple Threat match. That, or the Triangle Ladder war between The Hardyz, Dudleyz and Edge & Christian, should have kicked things off.

'Mania 2000 is worth skipping through for the matches above and the main event, but that's about it. The top of the card featured a pretty lame couple of time-wasters that had next-to-no consequence on TV going forward, and that's a sin on a show as big as WrestleMania.

Buchanan could leap around the ring showing impressive agility for a big man all he wanted. It still wasn't going to elevate his tag match above average.
