WWE refuses to give up on Lana.
It's not hard to see why on the surface; the 'Ravishing Russian' has star quality coming out her ears, and she commands a lot of attention on social media. However, no amount of photogenic good looks can mask the fact that Lana is as handy inside a wrestling ring as WWE's awkward Diva relics of yesteryear.
Does she deserve the chance to improve? Undoubtedly. Will she ever match the likes of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch or Sasha Banks? No, probably not. In 2020, Lana went from arrogant, gold-digging bitch hanging off Bobby Lashley to inspiring underdog striving to get better.
It was a jarring change - Lana's switch relied on fans totally forgetting what had come before. Unfortunately for WWE, that's mighty difficult when her romance with Lashley was heavily featured on Raw for so long.
The 'Ravishing' one has her place. It's just probs not in actual matches.
