This hurts. This really, really hurts.

What is your writer dribbling about? Well, he's always been a fairly staunch supporter of one Baron Corbin, and often tries to see the best in his latest character/direction. However, nobody can deny that big Corbs hasn't really been hitting in-ring home runs throughout 2022.

Whether he's been 'Happy' or aligned with new manager JBL, most of Baron's matches have played out like someone hit the repeat button. That's been true regardless of his opponents too, which is rather concerning; surely, wrestling Drew McIntyre should produce something very different to tangling with a smaller high-flyer like Ricochet.

That hasn't been so with Corbin - not this year. He could do with "learning a new hold" (as JR might say) and adding a few new tricks to his arsenal in 2023. Finally, and this is crucial, Baron has to punctuate his bouts with a bit more variety overall.
