10 Worst WWE Wrestlers Of 2022
2. Pat McAfee
So, mind you, does his 'Mania 38 opponent.
Look, Pat McAfee vs. Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver XXX back in August 2020 was awesome. Hell, Pat is awesome overall - he was a brilliant addition to WWE commentary whilst it lasted, and he'll probably have a few more matches again when it fits his schedule.
Nobody needs to pretend that liking someone's personality, or even one of their matches, means they're a guaranteed hit in-ring though. McAfee had three matches in 2022, and exactly none of them could be considered winners that lit up the card. This ain't Logan Paul we're talking about here, people.
Pat vs. Austin Theory at WrestleMania was passable at best. Then, he followed that up with car crashes against Vinnie Mac (on the same card) and Baron Corbin at SummerSlam. The latter bout was such a crushing disappointment that even McAfee expressed annoyance at himself afterwards.
Three and out, sir.
