10 WrestleMania 33 Mistakes WWE Can’t Repeat At 34

7. Cramming Too Many Matches Onto The Card

Including the three pre-show bouts, WrestleMania 33 presented 13 matches in total. Of the 13, only five lasted longer than 15 minutes, and just three surpassed 20. If this sounds like nitpicking, consider the lavish attention WWE give to video packages, pyro displays and other segments on the show.

This year, 'Mania 34 could do with either canning some of these hype vids (does every match require one?) or trimming the fat from the card. Booking less wrestling on a show of this magnitude may be a risk, though fewer matches would give the ones included a little more focus. As nice as it is that WWE want to give everyone a spot on the card, it feels a bit forced at times.

WrestleMania 33 was over six hours long, and this has become a trend; 'Mania is now a gruelling marathon instead of a celebration of all that's good about WWE. Doing away with the unnecessary two-hour Kickoff portion would also go a long way to making 'Mania feel less overcrowded.
