10 WrestleMania 33 Mistakes WWE Can’t Repeat At 34

6. Putting Shane McMahon In Over His Head

Contrary to WWE's belief, Shane McMahon is not a world-class pro wrestler on par with AJ Styles. Shane has strengths, but they're mainly in working gimmick matches where he can use shortcuts or be shielded by protracted stunt sequences. He certainly can't work a 20+ minute cracker against one of wrestling's best in-ring generals.

That didn't stop WWE from trying to portray Shane-O as someone who could realistically go hold-for-hold with Styles at 'Mania 33. Assuming McMahon will be on the card in New Orleans again (against who, only time will tell), it's vital that WWE realise his limitations and don't attempt to cast him as wrestling's greatest all-rounder.

Although nobody should point the finger of blame at the company for putting McMahon in featured matches when he is a big, respected name, it'd be wise to keep him from opening the show when fans expect a fast-paced winner from the off.
