10 WrestleMania 38 Card Predictions After Royal Rumble 2022
8. Cinematic Chaos: Alexa Bliss vs. 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt
WWE's recent trademark application for 'The Goddess' suggested Alexa Bliss was on the verge of reverting to her older, more straightforward gimmick on Raw, but that isn't how her therapy segments have played out. Lilly is back, at least in Alexa's mind. Bliss' flashes of Fiend-induced mania are still there, despite her absence, and there's now as great a chance of her staying within the supernatural realm as there is her going back to normal.
The possibility of her getting Very Weird at WrestleMania cannot be ruled out - and if you're going to get Very Weird, you might as well go all the way in.
Bray Wyatt is yet to find his new wrestling home after leaving WWE in July 2021. With barriers to entry in other promotions (NJPW's working standard, IMPACT's budget, AEW's aversion to the supernatural), Stamford remains his most natural home. Someday, he'll be back. It's just a question of when the reported creative heat preceding his release subsides.
This isn't intergender wrestling, to be clear. This is cinematic. This is teleporting, goo-dribbling, toy doll possession in a wacky setting, and lore. Lots of lore. Enough to inform seven new Elder Scrolls games.
This is the f*cking Fiend.
