8. John Cena Vs The Miz

WrestleMania 27 was home to one of the most underwhelming main events ever. John Cena and The Miz battled for the WWE Championship, but the match was a placeholder for the burgeoning Rock vs Cena feud set to explode the following year. Cena was attempting to win his 9th World Title, but this main event just fell flat. After a Dusty finish, and a restart, Cena was victim to a Rock Bottom that would keep him down for the count. The Miz retained the championship, and the era of awesomeness was set to continue. The Miz€™s video package illustrated how far he had come in a short amount time, and is one of the best ones they€™ve ever done. The story of this contest was Miz trying to transition into being taken seriously. The Miz took a page out of the Chris Jericho vs Goldberg book, and repeatedly challenged Cena to matches he had no way to compete in. After Cena defeated Miz, no one thought this would be a preview of a WrestleMania main event, but it was.
