7. Triple H Vs Randy Orton

Triple H and Randy Orton met in 2009 in the main event of WrestleMania 25. Triple H was the WWE Champion as a face, taking on one of the most vicious heels in ages, The Viper Randy Orton. The same guy he once proclaimed to be the coal that he would squeeze into the next diamond of WWE during their time in Evolution. In a solid match that was widely viewed as just ok, seeing as they had to follow the greatest match of all-time, Triple H was victorious over Randy Orton, but there was another feud they had in 2004 that preceded it. Previously, at Summerslam 2004, as a member of Evolution, Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H saw this as an act of defiance, and kicked Orton from Evolution unceremoniously with a vicious 3 on 1 attack courtesy of himself, Ric Flair, and Batista. Furthermore, that led to a series of contests over the title, between Randy Orton and The Game that Triple H pretty much dominated. It was a good way to give Orton a nudge into what he would become, and served as a preview for a future-headlining clash.
