10 Wrestlemania Main Events That Were Completely Upstaged

6. WrestleMania 2000 - A McMahon In Every Corner Upstaged By Triangle Ladder Match

This main event never had a chance from the get-go. First, it was changed so many times between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Originally, it was Rock vs. Triple H. Then Rock lost his shot to Big Show at No Way Out, and it became Big Show vs. Triple H. Then Rock got added back into the match, making it a Triple Threat. Then they decided to give that match away on Raw, only to have Mick Foley added to make it a Fatal Four Way. Clouding things up even more was the fact that a member of the McMahon family was in each wrestler€™s corner. Compare that with the simplicity of three young, hungry tag teams going out there with some ladders and destroying their bodies in a demolition derby, it wasn€™t even close. Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz doubled up on their show-stealing performance at No Mercy 1999 by adding The Dudley Boyz in a Triangle Ladder Match that was basically an unofficial TLC match. The lasting image from WrestleMania 2000 was not Triple H standing triumphantly with Vince McMahon; it was Jeff Hardy doing a Swanton Bomb off the ladder onto Bubba Ray Dudley. This will not be the last time Triple H got the show stolen from him...
