10 WrestleMania Matches We’re Still Waiting To See

9. Brock Lesnar Vs. The Rock

This is the kind of clash that WrestleMania was made for—one of the biggest draws in UFC against one of the biggest draws in Hollywood, meeting in a pro wrestling ring. And it nearly took place back at WrestleMania XXX.

Brock Lesnar had originally been scheduled to appear on the Raw after WrestleMania 29, lay out The Rock, and set the wheels in motion for a ‘Mania meeting at the following year’s show. But with The Rock getting injured in his match with John Cena the previous evening, the angle was nixed and never revisited.

That is, until Lesnar teased another WrestleMania match, this time ahead of this year’s show, during an interview with the Sun towards the end of last year. Again, it never amounted to anything either, but much like the previous Triple H vs. Rock entry, this rivalry has plenty of history thanks to Lesnar’s maiden WWE Championship win at SummerSlam 2002. Also, Brock vs. Rock just sounds cool.

In all seriousness, though, it’s mainly the unfinished business, plus their standing as two of the biggest mainstream draws on the company’s books, that makes this one such an appealing prospect.
