With the benefit of hindsight, King Kong Bundy is paradoxically both the most and least likely possible candidate to have ended The Undertaker's vaunted streak ahead of Brock Lesnar finally felling The Deadman in 2014.
On the one hand, King Kong Bundy was a relative nobody upon his 1995 return with next-to-no long-term future in the company beyond his 'monster of the year' clash against The Phenom. However, the so-called 'streak' was completely inconsequential at the time; 'Taker had just three WrestleMania wins to his name - one of them a spawny DQ over Giant González - and a months long programme pitting him against the evil Million Dollar Corporation could have benefited from a jammy victory for DiBiase's crew.
Supposedly, that was precisely the plan. It was only after The Undertaker defeated the King Hippo proxy at WrestleMania XI that the office noticed Mean Mark's sequence of victories, and began preparing more realistic candidates to challenge his Show of Shows dominance.
