10 Wrestler Allegiance Switches That Must Happen In 2022
6. Finn Balor - Heel
Why oh why does Finn Balor always have a big, cheesy grin on his face? Stop smiling. You just lost, you shouldn't be smiling!
That frustrating habit aside, the man plays a solid babyface, he always has, his ability to fire up the crowd with a passionate comeback can bring even the dourest of wrestling fans to their feet. However, it is certainly no secret that he plays a WAY better heel than face. For evidence of this, all you have to do is look towards his work in NJPW as the founder of Bullet Club and his career renaissance in NXT under 'The Prinxe'. The 'Demon King' persona has never translated well to the main roster, as it is treated as more of a corny, supernatural entity than its origins as intimidating war paint that made his opponents take him seriously. If anybody is ever going to take Balor seriously again, it's time to put the 'Demon King' to the side again and let 'The Prince' run free again.
He looks and feels like a legitimate killer when he walks into the arena with that dastardly scowl on his face instead of waving to the fans and chuckling as he makes his way to the ring. Yes, Raw needs a top babyface, but Balor, for his career's sake, needs to be a top heel more.
