10 Wrestler Deaths WWE Didn't Acknowledge

2. Chris Kanyon - 2010

Chris Kanyon was with WWE from 2001 to 2004, featuring as part of WCW's 'Invasion' angle. He even got to hold the WWF tag team championship with partner Diamond Dallas Page after defeating the APA. The Invasion involvement ended up being Kanyon's most notable WWE contributions, with little coming from the other three years he had with the company. He was a good in-ring talent, but just didn't have much luck with injuries, sitting out much of 2002 to 2004 and acting as a jobber when he did feature. His previous run in WCW had seen him achieve a little better, getting a half decent push as the masked character Mortis. Another thing about Kanyon was that he was openly gay. In today's modern climate we might have seen WWE proud of featuring a gay wrestler, as their media rounds with Darren Young demonstrated. But with Kanyon it was never public knowledge that a gay man was competing in the WWE. When he died in 2010 a bottle of antidepressants was found by his body along with an 'apology' note. Just as it had been in his four years wrestling for WWE, the company had no interest in referencing him on television. The passing went almost unnoticed but for the internet wrestling community.

Grahame Herbert hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
