Okay, so maybe WWE didn’t want to feature Ludvig Borga due to the backstage troubles he caused during his tenure, but come on Vince, everyone liked Chris Candido!

In 1995 the young wrestler entered the WWF as Bodydonna Skip. One of his most memorable moments saw him involved in the classic underdog tale of Barry Horowitz finally going over on a main roster talent. Along with his partner Zip, The Bodydonnas remained a staple on television for over a year and captured the Tag Titles along they way. Their manager Sunny (and wife of Chris), became one of the most popular performers in the company.

Candido ended up leaving the company in 1996, and then had a run in ECW and later WCW. In 2005 he joined TNA, and began doing some great work with The Naturals. His enthusiasm as their manager was infectious, but a freak injury in a match broke his leg, which later led to him developing a blood clot that proved to be fatal.

TNA aired a graphic on TV mourning the sudden death of the 33-year-old, and held a memorial tag tournament in his honor later that year. WWE had zip to say.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
