10 Wrestler Scars You Need To See

1. Sabu

Only one wrestler could dominate a list of the top scars in the sport, and while Sabu's body may not be as instantly grotesque as Jun Kasai's back or Villano III's face, the amount of blood he's shed across the world and the marks he bears from head to toe place him in a category all his own. Trained by his uncle, The Original Sheik, Sabu had a pedigree for violence. Though he made his name in ECW, he spent the early 90s competing for Japanese organization Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling, participating in some two dozen no ropes, barbed wire deathmatches and a Ring of Fire deathmatch. After heading back to the U.S. and joining ECW, Sabu's reputation for taking and dishing out punishment continued - especially after another barbed wire match with Terry Funk that saw the high-flying madman tear his bicep open and tape it up mid-match. He's also repeatedly used superglue to temporarily shut wounds, which isn't as great for long-term aesthetics as, say, going to a plastic surgeon. In thirty years of wrestling, Sabu has turned his body into a road map of lines and bumps, and he shows no signs of slowing down. At 50, the legend is still going through tables, still putting his body on the line, and still picking up scars.
