10 Wrestlers AEW Stole From Under WWE's Nose

9. Christian Cage

Christian (Cage)'s Royal Rumble 2021 return was in keeping with a theme of much of his career - slightly lower key than the way Edge did it, but arguably a lot more entertaining.

In his gear and fully fit inside The ThunderDome, absolutely nobody had 'Captain Charisma' on their bingo cards going into the PLE, and thus also couldn't have forecast that he'd be properly back for it too. A reunion with the 'Rated-R Superstar' was sweet, and some moments here and there with old and new rivals generated lots of conversation of potential future angles.

Conversation that promptly turned to an entirely different set of wrestlers when he signed for All Elite Wrestling at Revolution 2021.

Cage was promoted by Tony Khan as one of his dream signings, and became Impact World Champion during a mini-feud with Kenny Omega before getting into the guts of a longstanding programme with Jungle Boy Jack Perry and Luchasaurus.
