10 Wrestlers At Risk Of Missing Out On The WWE WrestleMania 39 Card

8. Johnny Gargano

'Johnny WrestleMania' won't happen this year.

Gargano's "WrestleMania (season) moment" happened at Elimination Chamber when he hit a gorgeous hurricanrana off one of the cell pods on Seth Rollins. That's surely as good as it's gonna get for the ex-NXT fave during spring - he doesn't fit on either card in Cali.

WWE would need to quickly cobble together some sort of mixed tag scenario with his wife Candice LeRae, or try on Gargano vs. The Miz to give him a fighting chance of making it to SoFi. Beyond that, where could he slot in? Johnny vs. Baron Corbin hardly screams big time.

Gargano must've been hoping for better than this when he accepted Triple H's call to return to WWE last year. Things haven't worked out as he might've thought they would, and seriously sh*tty booking has made him someone who makes up numbers inside the Chamber but becomes an afterthought for 'Mania.
