Before he was the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels was one of The Rockers with his tag team partner, Marty Jannetty. Together, these two pretty boys would rush the ring to rock music whole sporting colorful neon tights and tassels, soon taking to the air to challenge larger opponents. Prior to signing up with the World Wrestling Federation, the pair had formed the team of The Midnight Rockers in the American Wrestling Association, and brought it with them when they headed up north, having all of one match before their infamous firing for too much "partying". They would, of course, get a second chance with Vince, and it would not be long before they cut back the "Midnight" from both their team name and their after-hours habits.
