10 Wrestlers Who Brought Their Gimmicks To WWE

8. The Road Warriors/Legion Of Doom

Hawk and Animal came to the World Wrestling Federation with not one, but two gimmicks in tow. In Georgia Championship Wrestling, the duo formed a face paint-wearing, spike-sporting tag team known as the Road Warriors under manager Paul Ellerling, who had formed a stable which also consisted of the likes of The Sheik, The Iron Sheik, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, King Kong Bundy, Arn Anderson, The Spoiler, and Matt Borne. Collectively, they were known as "The Legion of Doom," a name taken from Lex Luthor's crew of supervillains on the cartoon show Super Friends. As is well documented, the Road Warriors were a powerful duo that ran roughshod over the competition in the AWA, the NWA/WCW, and Japan, winning respective tag team titles all the while. This continued as they eventually joined the World Wrestling Federation, though for a time, the "Road Warriors" name was retired in favor of "The Legion of Doom," though the pair would come to be known as "'Road Warrior' Hawk and 'Road Warrior' Animal, The Legion of Doom," bringing them the best of both worlds.
