10 Wrestlers Currently Out Injured (And When They Might Return)
1. Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes cemented himself as a pro wrestling legend when he battled Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell with a completely torn pectoral.
The injury provided the match with a grimly fascinating edge (as well as providing Cody with some gnarly bruising) and even when the Grandson of the Plumber won the fight, fans knew he would be out for a long time.
Rhodes hasn't been seen since the match and that was back in June of 2022. WWE announced that the former AEW man would be out of action for nine months, but that company has been known to bend the truth regarding recovery times in the past.
At the moment, Cody is many fans' (and bookies') pick to win the 2023 Royal Rumble and challenge Roman Reigns for one or both of his championships at WrestleMania 39. This would be a fantastic way to reintroduce Cody into the WWE narrative and continue the monstrous momentum he had accumulated before he got hurt.
Is this just fantasy booking? For now, yes, but hopefully Triple H sees what everyone else can see and straps the rocket to Rhodes whenever he's healthy again.
