Now best known for her time in Lucha Underground, Ivelisse was first brought to the wrestling world’s attention on Tough Enough. Sadly, her time there was brought to an abrupt end when she picked up an injury.

Despite that, she was still signed to a developmental contract and appeared on NXT when it became the primary developmental territory. And to begin with, things looked rosy. On her debut, she beat Paige before picking up a count-out victory over Natalya which seemed to be setting up a feud between the two.

However, something changed and not long later she was released with her final match being a lose to Tamina. On Vince Russo’s podcast, Ivelisse would go on to suggest said release came about due to her being one of the people to report Bill DeMott; a move that would lead to him being sacked from the company.

It’s obviously impossible to know whether that is true but you hope for WWE’s sake it is not. Whatever led to them souring on Ivelisse, there is no denying that she has proven them wrong in Lucha Underground.
