10 Wrestlers Fans Most Want To See In WWE's UK Tournament

6. Joe Hendry

What use is a tournament without a hero? A Local Hero, to be precise.

Edinburgh’s Joe Hendry might have been unsuccessful in his recent attempts at capturing the WCPW Championship, but he won’t let that get in his way. From wrestling Kurt Angle in October to competing with Big Damo in WCPW’s first ever main event, Hendry has had another big year, and his career looks set to take off in 2017.

He only debuted three years ago, but Hendry is one of the country’s most entertaining performers. He’s a huge fan favourite wherever he goes, particularly in ICW, and having trained under the WWE Performance Center’s Robbie Brookside in the past, a WWE run would suit him well. A solid all-round wrestler with tremendous upside, Hendry is a star in the making.

It’s the promos and custom entrance themes that make Joe Hendry special. A man of considerable musical talent, Hendry has amassed an impressive catalogue of playfully repurposed pop classics. It’s doubtful that he’d be able to get away with this on a WWE show, but we’d sure like to see him try. Don’t forget that shiny gold jacket, either...
