10 Wrestlers For Whose Passion For Wrestling WWE Killed
2. Dean Ambrose
The biggest wrestling transfer story in recent memory, the debut of Jon Moxley (F.K.A Dean Ambrose) shook the wrestling world to its core. It immediately provided a greater sense of legitimacy to the idea that AEW could actually change the industry. And it provided one Mr. Jonathan Good with an escape from his dreaded professional prison.
When Ambrose made his WWE main roster debut, he was an instant hit. Many believed he would go on to become the breakout star of The Shield and be a main eventer for years and years and years. We only got a partial realization of that.
Because while Ambrose certainly enjoyed a fair bit of the spotlight in WWE, he was never quite allowed to express his true self, never allowed to perform the way he wanted to. And when Roman Reigns’ real life battle with leukaemia necessitated an Ambrose heel turn, it all went downhill very fast.
He was inserted into one of the most distasteful angles WWE have ever done and boy is that saying something. During this feud with Seth Rollins, Ambrose insulted Roman’s situation, mocked his sufferings and even went on to say the Big Dog deserved it. While Ambrose the performer was doing his job, Mr. Good the man was absolutely miserable.
