Bam Bam Bigelow’s short late 1980s WWE run broke the mold of the one-dimensional big man. Bigelow’s athletic style combined with solid mat wrestling and unique look made him an instant hit with WWE fans. During this time, he feuded with top big men such as Andre the Giant and One Man Gang as well as most notably being a member of Hulk Hogan’s team at the first-ever Survivor Series.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Bigelow was also a force for various big-time promotions such as New Japan, WCW, ECW, UWA in Mexico and the infamous Herb Abram’s UWF. He formed a dominant tag team in New Japan with Big Van Vader and was also a member of some impressive factions such as The Million Dollar Corporation, The Triple Threat and The Jersey Triad.

Bigelow made a return to WWE in 1992 for his most successful run with the company. He had some great matches against Bret Hart and eventually main evented WrestleMania XI against NY Giant legend Lawrence Taylor. The Beast From The East’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame is long overdue.
