6. Damian Priest
Unfortunately, Damian Priest's momentum following his WrestleMania 37 performance has been halted by his lack of appearances on Monday Night Raw. However, recent oversights by the Raw creative team shouldn't overshadow the fantastic year that the Archer of Infamy has had in 2021.
He was still in NXT at the start of the year, having an utter war with Karrion Kross to say his goodbye to the black and yellow brand. It remains Kross' most impressive performance in NXT, with Priest pushing him to his limit and helping re-establish him as a title contender. Priest would put on an excellent turn in the 2021 Royal Rumble, eliminating Kane and looking like a total star-in-the-making throughout his 15 minutes.
Most importantly, Priest was partially responsible for the success of the Bad Bunny match at WrestleMania, looking like an utter monster whenever tagged in and helping to establish Bunny's credibility throughout the contest. He walked into a WrestleMania semi-main event with a global music superstar and two WWE veterans as someone who'd just come out of NXT - and managed to come out of it as a star on his own terms.
