9. Gangrel Nearly Bites It
The former WWF wrestler Gangrel, aka David Heath, was used to hair-raising situations in the ring. Besides playing a vampire gimmick with the Brood, featuring a rookie Edge and Christian as his henchmen, where their foes would regularly be drenched with fake blood before, during and after matches. He was also married to Luna Vachon, which makes him a brave man indeed. In 2011, however, Gangrel would nearly meet the true death when his motorcycle was involved in a high speed collision with an oncoming car in Burbank, California. Hospitalised, Heath was incredibly lucky to walk away from the crash with cuts, bruises, and one nasty-looking broken elbow. TMZ reported on the crash at the time, showing a picture of the wrestler looking chipper, and a slightly less pleasant picture of the elbow in question, which was described, in what appears to be typical US tabloid speak, as gnarly.
