10 WWE Wrestlers Who Were Never The Same After Returning From Injury
2. Sid Vicious
There have been some incredible physiques in the professional wrestling business over the years. Superstar Billy Graham, Tony Atlas and Lex Luger are just three talents who prided themselves on their appearance and used it to make money in one promotion after another. However, the case can be made that Sid Vicious had perhaps the best body in all of pro wrestling. It was his physique, his intensity and his massive strength that allowed him to main event in every company he worked in. Sid was the epitome of a what a professional wrestler was to the world; he was larger than life and he was a god among men. However, Sid became very human very quickly in 2001 when he suffered perhaps the most heinous ring injury that any man had ever lived through. He fractured his leg when he came off the second rope in a match; his leg essentially rolled from the ankle up. It was one of the most gruesome moments in wrestling history and definitely the most disturbing in WCW history and from that point on, nothing was ever the same again. Sid did attempt a comeback on the independent circuit and even appeared in a match on Monday Night Raw. The nostalgia from fans was likely overwhelming for him and it was definitely good to see him get another moment in the sun. His wrestling career never got back on track though and it was that fateful night in WCW when it all came to a very gruesome end.
