10 WWE Wrestlers Who Were Never The Same After Returning From Injury
6. Christian
Christian is perhaps one of the biggest sentimental favorites in WWE history. Much of that comes from his glory days alongside his storyline brother Edge, as the two men became one of the hottest tag teams in the company. They could do it all as a duo; they ran as great heels and they were excellent babyfaces. Despite which side they were on, Edge and Christian were very entertaining and they remained that way during their entire time together. After they split, each man continued his entertaining ways and always sent the fans home happy. Edge became the Rated R Superstar, while Christian became Captain Charisma and they always seemed to be linked no matter what their roles were. However, fans saw Edge rise to the top and become the WWE champion. Jeff Hardy also received a singles run and became champion as well. Two of the four men in the classic Edge and Christian versus The Hardy Boys rivalry had reached the top and that left both Matt Hardy and Christian. So when Captain Charisma finally got his shot at the World Championship in 2011, fans could not be happier for him. Over the course of the next two years though, various injuries began to plague Christian's career. He went from being the sentimental favorite to being the guy whose day in the sun could potentially be over. Christian has reportedly been ready to come back for a while but supposedly the company has little for him. If and when he does return, the sad fact is his time left may be short indeed.
