10 WWE Wrestlers Who Were Never The Same After Returning From Injury
7. Mark Henry
Mark Henry is one of the most dominant Superstars in WWE history. Billed as The World's Strongest Man, Henry more than lives up to the hype and of all the men in Vince McMahon's locker room, Henry is the one that perhaps best represents the definition of the old school pro wrestling strongman. He has worked in the company since 1996 and during his run he has been everything from a militant to a ladies man to an absolute beast in the ring. Through it all he has stayed loyal to WWE, he has done everything asked of him and he always rises to the occasion. Mark is a WWE guy through and through. So when he finally became the World heavyweight champion in 2011, his fans could not be happier. They showed their respect to him and they showed they appreciated both his dedication and his work in entertaining them over the years. Mark Henry had finally made it to the promised land. However, 2012 saw Henry injured twice, with the second being perhaps the one that could end his WWE career. Mark continued to battle through injuries when he returned in 2013 and even used that fact as a storyline hook to face John Cena for the WWE Championship. Though he is still praised for his work in character and continues to push on, the fact is he does not look the same as he once did. Much like Dolph Ziggler, Henry has not been back to the mountaintop since getting hurt and it looks as though he may not again.
